Alright so, I don't know if this has been passed from me to Speetix and speetix to someone (he probs knows what I mean)

Anyways, let's get straight to the point rather than have a lil' chat.

So, today (pretty sure), a Server rules message has been launched; however I don't think it is really proffessional and 'proper'.
My suggestion is to correct/list the rules as following;

1) No bugs, exploits, cheats or unfair advantages over other players allowed (Probably need to be shortened)
2) Respect admins (and their decisions) and other players.
3) No teamhurting, ;-tazing, ;-nading, ;-peppering, ;-killing.
4) All styles of gameplay allowed (incl. Spawnkill and camp)

Suggested rules:
5) English ONLY allowed on the server
6) Spamming is not allowed (incl. binds)
7) Admin(s) decision is final, visit revhosting.org to appeal
8) No swearing and namecalling allowed. (Or could just filter the main words)

If possible, making the text bold will also help.

Alright so, there are a few 'rules' I would like to also introduce to admins for player's clarification.
(Not to be listed in-game, just here)

Kay so, my main issue that I know there are with many servers, and I have seen some issues here; are consequences.

If players are arguing with each other,
1) Give a warning
2) (If continued) Remind of consequences
3) (If continued) Mute for two minutes.
4) (If continued) Mute for whole round
5) (If continued) Give warning of kick, then Kick
6) (If continued) Give warning of ban, then Ban (personally) for about 10 minutes, then proceed to unbanning.
7) (If continued) Give warning and wait for ten seconds, then Ban permamentaly. (If player says anything during the 10 seconds, answer his question. If it just a rage, screenie it and keep it as further evidence for unban.

Yes, these do seem like a LOT of steps, however, as individuals you don't actually see how all of this happens. Knowing everything, all of these steps will probably be taken in about 3 minutes. They really do happen in short period of time without anyone noticing. Take this message as a message for all steps in this thread.

If players are tazing, hurting, nading or peppering (on purpose)
1) Give a warning
2) (If continued) Remind of consequences
3) (If continued) Give a warning of kick, then kick.
4) (If continued) Give warning of ban, then ban permamentaly.

Leave teamkilling for the auto-teamkill kicker, HOWEVER, keep notice/record of who is kicked for team-killing. If player is killing after being kicked once already, then warn, after that kick if continued. Ban (permamentaly) if kicked twice by the control.

If player is arguing with an admin, ALWAYS REFER TO THE ARGUING STEPS, if you will take your own shortcuts/deals, it is likely that, that player will have hatred to admins for ovrtaking their own powers. As a admin, treat yourself as a player with fair advantage rights. Never take advantage of what you are and get ahead of everybody.

I was thinking about 'em long time ago. That rules will be added as a guidelines, but we can not expect that admins will always follow them... That's why we put rules on our server so everybody can know what they can do and what they can not do. Respect the rules and u won't have to deal with admins.

Adding to guidelines, I'd also advise to VIEW every 5 or so minutes, be fair and put afk people on spec, etc.

as far as i know there's spam control. When you spam more than 3 msg per second you receive a beautiful force mute for 30 sec

AS for no Swearing , well i think most of us know that swearing is included in the game itself `what the f***,

Oh yes - NOOB isnt an insult or swear word at all, it comes from the word - newbie (new player)

in the uk we do have a similar word Knob,- which in itself isnt really a swear word either

Knob in the UK is a sexual word. Noob indeed does come from the word newbie, but that came under my no namecalling list, not no swearing.

SUGGESTION(S) 2:

• Add these rules to IT
• Make rules for VIP Server.

Rules for VIP server are the same things I suggested/that are already on there.
1) No Cheats, bugs or exploits
2) No team nading, ;-peppering, ;-tazing, ;-hurting, ;-killing on purpose
3) Camping allowed
4) No spawnkillling unless VIP is near to the spawn area
5) Respect admins (and their decisions) and other players.
6) No dropping as VIP

Another suggested rule to IT/DE Public;
6) No dropping at arrest
7) No afk killing/arresting.

Num. 7 definately needs to be added. Admins ban/kick people for this, while nobody knows whether it's allowed or not.

Well so; players do not know about the fact that arrest killing/afk arresting is allowed, therefore forcing less lethal straight away is by far no fair on the case of the player. If a player is annoying on the chat you shall firstly give some pre-ceeded warnings rather than a mute straight away.

All in all, players do not know the rules before they come on the server, no one playing the server is a straight-knowledged person of the rules; therefore players don't abide them because they don't(?) exist.

take a look at a dictionary

Knob = 1. a rounded projection from a surface, such as a lump on a tree trunk
2. a handle of a door, drawer, etc., esp one that is rounded
3. (Earth Sciences / Physical Geography) a round hill or knoll or morainic ridge
4. Brit taboo a slang word for penis

I'm from the UK. I guess I would have known what it would have been used for. Dictionary thesaurus explanations aren't proper as they give you the alternative meanings. Mainly 'knob' is used in slang, not one of the first three you have listed.

Can we stop this discussion now? Gte back2topic and discuss about the noob thing if you need. I think noob is not aggressive, swearing, whatsoever, it's just expressing that I dislike a person because of his action(s) he did. Nothing personal, nothing bad.
